Eligibility & Expectations

Eligibility

  • You must be able to pay the Sisu Living House monthly agreement fee.
  • Must be at least 45 days sober (*30 days if direct referral from a substance use disorder program).
  • If part of an IOP or PHP, must have a sponsor, case, or program manager to work with Sisu Living House to best support you.
  • You must be committed to your individual and/or program affiliated goals for long-term success.
  • You must be willing to take scheduled and unscheduled UA tests.
  • We understand setbacks happen, and due to the zero-tolerance policy for resident safety, you must be willing to leave if you break a rule that requires immediate dismissal including relapsing.
  • You must be willing to be a respectful Sisu Living House client, following house rules and participating in house chores.
  • You must not be a sex offender.
  • There are no credit requirements.
  • If on prescribed medications, then you must be able to reliably take medication without the help of others.
  • Sisu Living House locations are gender specific and are not co-ed.
  • Sisu Living House accepts women with various transitional housing needs including women in need of temporary transitional living (please contact us for additional criteria).
  • Sisu Living House accepts women with children (please contact us for additional criteria for individuals with children).

Expectations

Moving In

  • Once approved, Sisu Living House will schedule your arrival date and time
  • Review & sign Sisu Living House Bed Agreement & House Rules
  • Orient client to Sisu Living House space and resources

Living Here

  • We maintain substance-free environment
  • Everyone participates in Sisu Living House daily & weekly maintenance and rules as detailed in the signed Sisu Living House agreement
  • Sisu Living House is reserved for approved clients only

Curfews

  • Maintain quiet & routine to respect Sisu Living House clients and neighbors 
  • Daily 11 PM curfew

Length of Stay

  • Sisu Living House does not have a mandatory maximum length of stay
  • Sisu Living House does support clients setting and actively working towards their goals

Drug Testing

  • Random drug tests are mandatory
  • Positive drug tests require immediate detox or leaving Sisu Living House (bed hold is on a case-by case basis)
  • We understand setbacks happen, for your safety and others, you might be asked to leave Sisu Living House, and you must be willing to leave if you relapse
  • Promptly respond to testing requests and remain present until results are complete
